The weight of each LiFePO4 battery is approx 12 kg. The set of 8 pcs weights 96 kg.

Standardn?­ The total of 71 km with 80Ah LiFePO4 batteries

In our test of maximal performance we were able to drive the total of 71km per one standard charge of a set of 80Ah LFP batteries:



The discharging characteristics are presented in the above XLS files.

1) We were driving in a city traffic.
2) We were not driving in any "eco-mode", we tried to reach max. speed as the traffic allowed
3) The batteries were charged to 116V level by the VW Golf standard charging process. We
consider this level to be 80% of the full charge (136V).

Based on the above test, we expect to reach 200+ km per single charge with 200Ah cells.

Standardn?­ VW Golf Driving and Test Results

Our continueous driving tests show following results:



The average driving distance is 6.0 km per 1 kWh of electric energy.
This is based on daily usagee and drives in a city traffic.



The charging speed is around 2.3 kWh per hour at the high speed
charging more. This means you can gain about 13 ~ 14 km of driving
distance per each hour of charging.

Standardn?­ The second lithium upgrade to 96V 240 Ah.

We have finished the second step of the Lithium improvement for the testing
white color VW Golf CityStromer.

We have installed 24 pcs of 12V 80Ah lithium batteries in 8-serial 3-parallel
configuration. Total power is based on 96V 240 Ah. The weight of the pack
is 283 kg.
This means a saving of 229 kg against the original lead-acid
batteries with 512 kg (16 x 32kg).



The installation is done without any mechanical change to the VW Golf design.
The batteries fit perfectly. Even some space in the front is left.



The estimated driving distance per single charge is:

A) ideal driving conditions - approx 240 km (150 miles)

B) ordinary driving with longer trips - approx 220 km (135 miles)

C) heady duty driving in the city traffic - approx 200 km (125 miles)

In the very first driving test we have verified the driving distance per
single charge in the city heavy duty conditions according to the C) model.
We have reached the distance of 203 km.



The charging with the installed original VW charger is fully functional.
The charger is working at AC 230V 10A, supplying about DC 18A of
charging current. The estimated total charging time with the on-board
charger is 13 hours.



For testing purposes we are using two DC 48V 60A chargers. The
charging time is 4.5 hours.



High speed charger with 200A charging current is under development.
